I Just Bid on Two Cop Cars.

So I just stumbled into a government auction site and bid on two Crown Vic police cars. I doubt I’ll win either. One is right in my town I put 300 bucks on that. And the other is 5 hours away, and didn’t have any bids yet, so put 100 on that, and it’s actually pretty nice. If I some how end up with one I’ll drive it for the winter and sell it in the spring. If I get both then idk what I’ll do lol.

The silver State Trooper car is the one I put 300 on, and the black on is the one I put at 100. The auction for the silver one ends on the 12th the other on the 16th. If I find out I didn’t get the silver one, I might get more serious about buying the black one, like 500 dollars serious lol.

I did look into what Chargers and AWD Tauruses are going for, they seem to be in the 5-6,000 range way out of winter beater territory for me.

Oh it is. It only gets worse the more you looks. But I’ve always wanted a cheeeeeap winter beater. Being RWD is a plus. Also the cops around here run nice snow tires and they look to be in good condition

I used to work with somebody who drove retired cop cars, a Caprice LT1 at the time . Bought cars at the local police auctions that were in decent shape but with a ton of miles, rebuilt the engines in evenings and weekends , ran them until it was time to get another .

I once bid on some cop cars. I figured that the chances were that I would be outbid on each one. I think I bid $900 on each of 3 Crown Vics . Guess what? I won the bid on ALL three. Hate to say it, but I just ghosted the state surplus guy and never went to get them. Never had any repercussions from that, but I was probably black balled from ever bidding again. Oh well.
